Edward J. Bujold, M.D.
Named “One of America’s Best Family Doctors” by the Consumer Research Council of America, Dr. Bujold has been providing personalized, leading edge family medicine for more than 25 years. After receiving his Medical Degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit in 1977, Dr. Bujold completed a Family Medicine Residency at Andrews Air Force Base, Walter Reed Army Hospital and Bethesda Naval Hospital in Washington, DC. He later completed additional training in anesthesiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. During both residencies, he was honored by being selected Chief Resident by his peers.
Dr. Bujold served his country in the active military in the 1980s on the staff of the Strategic Air Command in Bitburg, Germany, and Omaha, Nebraska.
Dr. Bujold is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and is an American Academy of Family Practice (AAFP) Fellow. A member of the American Academy of Family Practice National Research Network, Dr. Bujold has published several research papers in his field. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the North Carolina Academy of Family Practice.
Dr. Bujold is certified through the Blue Quality Physician Program℠ (BQPP). This program, from BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina (BCBSNC), focuses on Primary Care Management and rewards physicians who are committed to high-quality patient outcomes, lowering costs and delivering patient-centered care.
Dr. Edward Bujold currently serves as Chief Medical Officer of KPN Health Analytics, Inc. (“KPNHA”) KPNHA provides software solutions and advisory services for clinical transformation. KPNHA is distinguished by its unequaled ability to extract and normalize clinical and financial data from disparate EHR and Practice Management Systems, and aggregate this data into a single database for manageable and actionable application. KPN Optimize™ offers specific modules designed to assist with Population Health Management and predictive modeling across multiple clinical disciplines. The KPN Optimize™ library consists of (i) Patient Center including our Point of Care Clinical Decision support tool with Medication Fulfillment, (ii) Population and Chronic Disease Management Module; and (iii) Quality Metrics/Measures Performance Modules. Brenton Queen
Brenton is a master’s level mental health counselor who has added training in substance abuse counseling. He also has interests in marriage and family counseling, children and adolescence. We feel very fortunate to have Brenton working in our office.
Victor Paquin, NP
Victor C Paquin is a Family Nurse Practitioner that started working with Dr. Bujold in June of 2019. Mr. Paquin graduated from UNC Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1997, then from UNC Chapel Hill with a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in family medicine in 2001. Mr. Paquin’s background includes several years working in the Emergency Department of Durham Regional Hospital, then 17 years experience in Orthopedic Surgery in Lumberton and Hickory, NC. He is married and has four children. He lives in Newton and enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, cooking and working on home projects.
